OREANDA-NEWS. March 1, 2011. SUEK AG representative office has launched its operations in Japan to maintain permanent efficient direct contacts with Japanese consumers. The head of representative office is Yoshio Mizuma who has been working in the coal industry for many years now. His latest occupation was position in BMA (alliance of BHP Billiton and Mitsubishi), the world's leader in crozzling coal production.

"Development of Vanino bulk terminal has provided us with additional selling opportunities, and we are very interested in closer co-operation with Japanese consumers", - said Igor Gribanovsky Commercial Director of OJSC SUEK.

Currently, Vanino bulk terminal is getting closer to its project transhipment capacity amounting to 12 mln. tons of coal per year. In February 2010, OJSC SUEK has entered into agreement for additional equipment supplies for Vanino bulk terminal with Tenova TAKRAF GmbH. This will enable an increase in the terminal capacity concurrently with enhancement of the Far East railroad capacity.

SUEK AG is a wholly owned subsidiary of OJSC SUEK engaged in exclusive sales of OJSC SUEK coal on the foreign market. The company supplies fuel to more than 30 countries of the world. Today, SUEK AG also has its sales offices and trade agencies in Poland, Taiwan, Indonesia, China and South Korea.
