OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2011. Donavia airlines operated first 30 flights during the month of air services en route Rostov-on-Don – Kiev (Ukraine).
Starting from January 16, 2011 Donavia re-established the air travel between the capitals of Ukraine and the South of Russia after almost 20 years of disruption.
Around one thousand air travelers have already taken the opportunity to arrive to Kiev from Rostov and to Rostov from Kiev which took them 1.5 hours only.

Flight D9 301 which was operated by our airline from Rostov-on-Don to Kiev on February, 3 evoke a wide response in the regional mass media. This flight was a presentation of a new air route with the representatives of Donavia headed by Director General Mr. Vitaly Golovin and the local journalists on board. In Kiev the flight was welcomed by the Ukrainian journalists.

The official delegation of the Rostov region arrived to Kiev on this flight. The ceremony of opening the air travel between Rostov and Kiev was conducted by Vice-governor Sergei Gorban’ and Minister of Transport of the Rostov region Mr. Dzhivan Vartanyan. Each passenger attending the flight was given a Certificate of a participant to the historical event: re-establishing of air route Rostov-on-Don – Kiev – Rostov-on-Don.

At Borispol airport the Don delegation was welcomed by the representatives of the Kiev regional state administration headed by Chairman Anatoly Prisyazhnyuk.

Air services en route Rostov – Kiev operated by Donavia contribute a lot to the relations between the south of Russia and Ukraine. Regular air services between Rostov-on-Don and Kiev encourage stronger personal ties, industrial and business development, economy and cultural interregional relations.

Donavia is planning to increase the frequencies of its air operations en route Rostov-Kiev and offers its passengers the opportunity to travel using the single e-ticket from Rostov via Kiev to other destinations in Ukraine and other countries of Europe, Asia, America on its partners’ flights.
