OREANDA-NEWS. March 5, 2011. CenterTelecom's Belgorod branch reports first results of its social program "Age Is Not an Obstacle for Internet Literacy" aimed at development of the senior citizens' computer skills.

25 senior citizens of Belgorod region received certificates confirming their PC and Internet literacy after taking of a monthly training program run by Alexander Belov, Belgorod State University's lecturer. The trainees learned how to use email and governmental services portal, how to find necessary information in the Internet, how to book tickets online. They also learned how to use social networks and Internet messengers including Skype allowing them to communicate with their children and grandchildren for free in real time regime. The pensioners registered in Web Literacy portal in order to keep in touch. They said: "We thank CenterTelecom for helping us to become more independent, to be in line with new trends, to get along with our grandchildren, and to get rid of prejudices."
