OREANDA-NEWS. March 9, 2011. The number of service providers that deployed Dr.Web AV-Desk Internet service has increased in Novokuznetsk, the largest city in the Kemerovo region. Starting March 1, 2011, subscribers of RDTC, one of the city's leading telecom operators, will be given an opportunity to use an anti-virus protection service based on the Dr.Web anti-virus for free.

Formerly, Dr.Web AV-Desk-based information security technologies were available to users of the three local Internet providers — the Novokuznetsk division of Sibirtelecom, Svyaz-Service, and Media Link. Now, 10,000 RDTC customers can use them too.

The service is currently available to 'Double impact' package subscribers — directly from the Personal area. Following quick Dr.Web client installation, users can enjoy worry-free Internet surfing. The anti-virus program will automatically update its anti-virus bases and program modules thus securely protecting PCs from a very wide range of malicious objects.

By deploying Dr.Web AV-Desk, RDTC can expand the number of services it provides in addition to Internet access. With a free subscription to the licensed anti-virus, the company will be able to draw in new customers and increase the loyalty of existing ones.

“When it came to choosing anti-virus technologies for our customers, we had no doubt that the Dr.Web AV-Desk service met the most stringent anti-virus protection requirements given it is so well-known in the market””, said Anna Vasilyeva, RDTC Marketing and Service Development Division Head. — “We are glad to provide our customers with well-fitting, quality protection from all kinds of Internet threats on attractive terms — with the '0 roubles' subscription package. We are confident that the service will soon become very popular among RDTC customers”.
