OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2011. Finland's fourth largest city Vantaa and Fujitsu Services Oy have signed an agreement on the delivery of IT products to all departments of the city. The service covers approximately 11,000 employees, 30,000 school children and more than 300 premises.

The Vantaa product services incorporate desktops, laptops, monitors and the related peripherals and smartcard readers. Along with the new agreement, all computers will be replaced with Fujitsu brand computers.

In a comparative vendor evaluation conducted by the city of Vantaa, Fujitsu received full points on specialist, delivery, warranty and maintenance services as well as quality assurance and information security practices, to name a few.

The city of Vantaa and Fujitsu have worked in collaboration for more than two decades.

"We have positive experiences with Fujitsu's services and products from a long period of time. We appreciate agility and the ability of our service provider to give us development suggestions. The price is not the only decisive factor, although Fujitsu's bid as a whole also turned out to be the most economical one. Moreover, Fujitsu's systems monitoring works well, there has been no faulty batches, and the quality has been consistent overall,” says CIO Juha Kontuvirta of the City of Vantaa.
