The initiators and developers of the project to build wind farm said that the Murmansk region has enormous energy potential and the unique conditions for the operation of renewable energy facilities.

For its part, the deputy director of  “Kolenergo” Andrey Gorokhov informed that the branch worked out various schemes of technological connection of wind energy facilities to the network. Currently, the contract for technological connection between the parties is concluded. Then, technical conditions must be agreed with the branch of the JSC "System Operator United Energy System- Kolskiy Regional dispatching service. It is also desirable to determine the temporal stages of  construction.

The developers have reported that the scheme of capacity will depend on the type of wind turbine, which has not yet been selected. It is only known that it is planned the construction of 80 wind turbines with total capacity of 200 megawatts.

Chief Dispatcher of  Kolskiy Regional dispatching service Alexander Malanov also identified a number of very important questions. In particular, there can be problems with ensuring the reliability of transit when the line joins wind farm, because its capacity is less than 180 MW.

In general, the parties discussed different variants for development of the situation. The representatives of Energy Company noted the priority of the  project. Representatives of the wind farm companies and investment firms thanked the power engineers for the suggestions and understanding in which direction to move forward.
