OREANDA-NEWS.  March 15, 2011.State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ is launching a new site “Public Private Partnership in Russia” (http://www.pppinrussia.ru/).

Vnesheconombank initiated the creation of a website about private public partnership in the Russian Federation. The site is intended for representatives of government and local authorities, companies participating in the PPP projects market in Russia and those interested in PPP issues.

Despite the successful implementation of pilot PPP projects and significant interest in the PPP mechanism as an effective instrument of public infrastructure development against the backdrop of budget constraints on the part of government and local authorities of the Russian constituent entities, so far there has been no information-methodological resource on this subject.

At the site “Public Private Partnership in Russia” you’ll find news, information on events, legislation, projects and tenders, participants in PPP projects, regions’ experience on participating in this kind of projects and methodology of organizing PPP projects in Russia.

The site “Public Private Partnership in Russia” is supported by the National PPP Competence Center, Vnesheconombank’s Public Private Partnership Center as part of assisting Russian constituent entities in creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development.

Vnesheconombank gives top priority to PPP projects and participates in such large-scale PPP projects as Pulkovo airport’s reconstruction, high-speed motorway Moscow - Saint-Petersburg on the section 15-58 km, a comprehensive program of building and reconstructing water supply and water drainage facilities in the city of Rostov-on-Don and the southwest of the Rostov region. The Bank also provides investment consulting services for the state needs of the Russian constituent entities on forming PPP investment projects.

Vnesheconombank’s Public Private Partnership Center is a structural subdivision of State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’.

The PPP Center’s activity is aimed at supporting infrastructure projects of national, regional and municipal significance and improving the quality of public services through applying PPP instruments.

The PPP Center is responsible for providing competent assistance to government and local authorities of the Russian constituent entities in applying and upgrading PPP instruments for implementing sectoral and regional development strategies.
