OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. With a view to reaching out to the rural populace, Shri B. P. Singh, Deputy Managing Director, IDBI Bank Ltd. visited Village Mandwa, District Jalna in March, 2011. Under the Financial Inclusion program, basic banking services is being provided at the doorsteps of the customers with the help of bio-metric smart cards and hand held devices through Business Correspondent of the Bank.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri B. P. Singh, DMD, IDBI Bank, said that "the provision of banking and financial services to the rural hinterland would be an enabler for inclusive growth".

IDBI Bank has set up a Team to oversee the implementation of Financial Inclusion program as envisaged by the RBI and GoI.
