OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. Belarus’ OJSC Olivaria, a brewery based in the city of Minsk, produced 1.034 million decaliters of beer in January-February 2011, an increase of 30.7% on the year, a representative in Belgospischeprom concern stated.

In February 2011, beer output rose 41.5% on the year to 556,100 decaliters.

Beer offering in plastic bottles rose 46% to 851,000 decaliters in January-February, in glass bottles fell 17.9% to 142,000 decaliters, and in kegs rose 6.1% to 35,000 decaliters. Beer offering in cans reached 6,100 decaliters.

The brewery exported 18,800 decaliters of beer in the period, up 210%.

Olivaria beer sales on the domestic market rose 18.9% on the year in January-February to 896,500 decaliters.

Olivaria was founded in 1864 and transformed into a joint stock company in 1994. In December 2006, Sweden’s BBH acquired a 30% stake in Olivaria by purchasing an additional issue of shares for USD 18.5 million.

Olivaria became part of Carlsberg A/S in May 2008.
