OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2011. Alexander Misharin, Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast, has toured KAMAZ during his visit to the Republic of Tatarstan.

The last destination of the governor’s working visit to Tatarstan was the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. Even before his arrival in the city, a representative delegation from this largest Russian region in the Urals worked at KAMAZ. The guests led by Anatoly Gredin, Chairman of the Government of Sverdlovsk Oblast, accompanied by Irek Gumerov, Deputy Director General of OJSC KAMAZ – Director of Development, toured the mother assembly conveyor and a cab assembly line of the automobile plant, and also visited the Research and Development Center of KAMAZ.

Alexander Misharin, Governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast, and Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the RT, joined them there. Yury Klochkov, First Deputy Director General of OJSC KAMAZ – CEO, and Danis Valeev, Chief Designer of KAMAZ, showed their Ural guests the main samples of the current model line (KAMAZ-6520, -65226, -65115, -5308, -4308) at an exhibition of vehicles of the company. The governor and the members of the delegation paid special attention to 4 trucks running on gas fuel – methane. They were presented by Rafael Batyrshin, Director General of OOO RariTEK – an enterprise located in Naberezhnye Chelny, KAMAZ’s partner producing and servicing gas-powered vehicles and buses.

Then the guests visited production facilities of the KIP Master residents, including a recently opened Russian-German joint venture – Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok.

Based on the tour, a decision was made to set up a task group consisting of specialists from Tatarstan and Sverdlovsk Oblast to develop a stance on possible joint projects.
