OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2011. Siberian Agrarian Holding Group of Companies (SAHO) presented an agrarian investment project at the international exhibition “Grune Woche” in Berlin. The SAHO project aimed at creation of a joint venture for target production of agroproducts in several regions of Central and Southern Federal Districts of Russia was presented to visitors of investment projects fair at exhibition on 22 January, 2011.

Annual exhibition “Grьne Woche” or “Green Week” is one of the largest international platforms offering an opportunity to demonstrate agroproducts, regions’ and holdings’ achievements, as well as investment projects of leading world companies. Russian participants, including SAHO, presented their latest technologies in the sphere of agroproduction, food and processing industry, as well as participated in the investment projects fair.

The idea of agroproducts target production, announced by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Group of Companies Pavel Skurikhin on the I World Grain Forum in St. Petersburg, has been transformed into the concrete investment draft for the amount of USD 250 million.

The SAHO project offers production of agroproducts with planned volume, assortment and quality on up to 200 000 hectares of farmland. According to the project parameters the Russian side contributes agroassets, including farm land and farming equipment, while the foreign partner attracts investments. The project assumes regional specialization of cereal crops in zones with appropriate bioclimatic conditions. The increase of annual volume of grain production is also planned. Location of joint ventures in the Central and Southern Federal Districts is justified by logistic proximity to export terminals.
