OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2011. AeroSvit – Ukrainian Airlines’ fleet extended with one more Boeing 767-300ER. The aircraft arrived at Borispol, AeroSvit’s base airport, on April 2nd, 2011, and is being prepared for operation on the carrier’s transcontinental air lines.

Boeing 767-300ER was delivered to the Airlines on the operational lease basis and became the seventh long-haul aircraft in AeroSvit's fleet.

Fleet extension will increase carriage capacities on all transcontinental flights, provided by ’s largest air carrier in summer season. Besides that, in October, 2011 the carrier plans to develop the program of non-stop flights to Colombo () and some other destinations in South-East Asia.

In summer season AeroSvit will operate 80 international routes to 33 countries, including 5 transcontinental lines to New York, Toronto, Beijing, Delhi and Bangkok.

As of today AeroSvit has its own fleet consisting of 13 medium-haul Boeing-737 and 7 long-haul Boeing-767 aircraft. Besides, partner carriers’ aircraft are being operated: Airbus 320, Airbus 321, Embraer 145, Embraer 195 and Antonov 148

Within the next few years AeroSvit intends to up-date and expand its medium-haul fleet in the framework of contracts for 11 new generation Boeing-737 aircraft deliveries. In March-June 2012 delivery of B737-800 Next-Generation aircraft will be commenced. A year later AeroSvit will become the first East-European Airlines to proceed to Boeing Next-Generation 737-900ER operation. These aircraft feature increased fuel efficiency, extended flight range and improved cabin interiors.
