OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2011. Belarusian Potash Company will increase its CFR potash prices for Southeast Asian consumers in June 2011 to USD 510 per tonne, the company said in a press release.

Commenting on the increase, BPC Spokesman Filipp Gritskov said most markets showed a record high consumption of potash fertilizers, which naturally resulted in a reduction in stocks globally.

Spot contract price was set at USD 430 per tone of standard potassium chloride and USD 450 per tonne of granulated potassium chloride in November 2010.

BPC, headquartered in Minsk, is the exclusive exporter of potash fertilizers produced by OJSC Uralkali and OJSC Belaruskali. The two companies hold respective stakes of 50% and 45% in BPC, and Belarusian Railway controls 5%.
