OREANDA-NEWS. April 18, 2011. The Federal Service for Supervision of Nature Resources issued a license for carrying out waste collection and transportation in the Kingisepp District of the Leningrad Region to Kingisepp Environment Company ("KinEK" JSC), a member of Ust-Luga Group of Companies. The license enables the enterprise to perform a full range of the works related to treatment of production and consumption waste, disposal of domestic solid, industrial and oily waste, as well as of utility fluids; the firm can also collect construction waste.
"Getting a license has been a logic step to centralizing the processes aimed at maintaining the environmental standards during the construction and operation of Ust-Luga Port,— explains Yuliya Aksyonova, Director General of "KinEK" JSC — Since we obtained the license, more opportunities have become available to our company; they will facilitate our fighting violations of the environment norms by bad-faith contractors and unauthorized dumps of both construction and domestic waste. Hopefully, with the aid of all who work at Ust-Luga Port: general contractors, proprietors and simply conscientious citizens, the environment situation in and around the port will be kept satisfactory."

Reference Information:
"KinEK" JSC was established in 2009 for resolving a complex of the questions arising out of the port’s development. An own environmental company within the holding’s structure enables Ust-Luga Group of Companies to centrally control the performance of the environmental measures in the port and the adjacent territory.
