OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2011. Moscow officials are still toying with the idea of building a new Disneyland-like park in the Russian capital.

“We are constantly in talks with companies that would be interested in such an ambitious project,” said Sergei Cheremin, head of the city government's foreign trade department, RIA Novosti reported.

Potential investors could be both Russian and foreign and an “international consortium” will be needed to implement the project, Cheremin added.

And this time heritage activists have nothing to worry about, as the park is to be located outside the MKAD, Moscow’s ring road, he assured.

Earlier, it was rumoured that Moscow’s famous landmark Gorky Park could become the new venue for Mickey Mouse’s kingdom.
