Brits Take Flight as Ryanair Reports 10% Jump in Easter Bookings
Sun destinations are most popular with UK passengers flocking to the Canary Islands, Greece, France, Portugal and Spain. Ryanair celebrated with an Easter EGGStravaganza by releasing 500,000 €7 seat sale, for travel in late May and June, on over 1,000 of Ryanair’s European routes which are available on Ryanair.com from midnight Thursday (21st) until midnight Tuesday (26th Apr).
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:
“After the Royals set ‘the date’ their subjects planned their escape, by immediately snapping up bargain flights to the sun. Ryanair’s Easter bookings are up over 10% year-on-year, thanks to the Royal wedding, and with so many Brits set to toast William and Kate from the luxury of the Canary Islands, Greece and France, The Mall and Westminster Abbey might look a little empty on their big day.
To celebrate the Easter Exodus Ryanair is releasing 500,000 €7 seats for travel on over 1,000 routes in late May and June. These flights will be available on Ryanair.com from midnight Thursday until midnight Tuesday.”
