Intersputnik and Intersputnik Holding, Ltd. will welcome visitors at their booth at Sviaz Expocomm 2011, the 23rd international exhibition of telecommunications equipment, control systems, information technologies and telecommunications services. Intersputnik will present a new satellite, ABS-2, slated for launch to 75 E in Q1 2013. The satellite will carry C, Ku and Ka-band transponders including payload for DTH services. ABS-2 will have a wide footprint covering most of Russia including Eastern Siberia, and the CIS countries including Kazakhstan. Apart from an outstanding service area ABS-2 will have high power (downlink e.i.r.p. up to 51 dBW) suitable for small 60 cm dishes making this service affordable.
