OREANDA-NEWS. May 10, 2011. North Delhi Power and Shri Ram Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources (broadened to cover economic and social development) jointly organised a two-day national level workshop on 'Talent management – a serious challenge to business' at India Habitat Centre during May 5 and 6, 2011.

The main objective of the workshop was the nurturing, development, harnessing and retention of human resource, as in today’s scenario talent management is most critical for organisational success and must be taken up in a holistic manner.

The workshop provided experiential learning shared by the panel of subject experts  from Navratna public sector undertakings and leading multinational companies.

During the workshop topics like 'talent harnessing and nurturing', 'motivating talent and engaging employees', 'reward, recognition and career development' and 'talent retention' were discussed at length.

Some of the distinguished speakers at the workshop were RV Shahi, former power secretary, Government of India; SK Chaturvedi, CMD, PGCIL; YV Verma, CEO, LG Electronics India; Pravir Jha, senior VP, Tata Motors; Bharat Wakhlu, resident director, Tata Services; Sunil Wadhwa, MD, NDPL; CN Nagakumar, chief, HR, TTSL, and RP Singh, director, HRD, IFFCO.
