OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2011. MHP S.A. (“MHP” or the “Company”, LSE ticker: “MHPC”), one of the leading agro-industrial companies in Ukraine focusing on the production of poultry and the cultivation of grain, announces the successful completion of its spring sowing campaign.

During 2010, the Company significantly increased its land bank. The total land bank as on December 31, 2010 is 280,000 hectares, including around 250,000 hectares in Grain Growing segment, which the Company has already planted and is to harvest in 2011 (compared to planted and harvested around 150,000 hectares in Grain Growing segment in 2010).

Today the Company completed its spring sowing campaign of more than 170,000 hectares and planted more than 100,000 hectares of land with corn and more than 30,000 hectares with sunflowers.

During the winter sowing campaign, the Company planted mainly wheat and rape, on more than 70,000 hectares of land. All crops are in good condition and are expected to contribute to the Company's strong operational and financial results.

Commenting on the campaign, Yuriy Kosiuk, Chief Executive Officer of MHP, said:

"The successful sowing campaign that we have announced today will help us realise the value of our vastly increased land bank to meet growing internal demand for corn and sunflower as well as increasing our external sales of crops.
