OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2011. In Komi Republic was approved the “Scheme and program of power complex development for 2011-2015. One of the most important parts of the Program was the scheme of electric distribution networks (35-110 kV) development of the branch of "IDGC North-West” “Komienergo” for the period until 2015.
The main aim of the document is creation of the effective and balanced infrastructure for the socio - economic development of the region and environmentally responsible use of energy and energy resources on the territory of the republic.

Work on the document began in the spring of this year. The working group included representatives of "Komienergo” - First Deputy Director-Chief Engineer Victor Fink, head of department of technical development Valery Tarasov and Head of Department of  prospective development Sergey Bychkov.

Five-year plan of development suggests a solution to such problems as a constraint on technological connection of new consumers, the lack of capacity of power lines 110 kV and above, and the inability to provide acceptable levels of voltage.

Also during the 5 years it is planned to build three new substations of 110 kV with capacity 66 MVA, to reconstruct and re-equipment another 6 substations, construct and rehabilitate 97 km of lines 6-10 kV. Investment in new construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment in the period 2011-2015 will amount to 6 billion rubles.
