OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2011. A large delegation of Gazprom experts arrived in Naberezhnye Chelny from all over Russia to visit KAMAZ.

The purpose of their visit was to see models of gas-engine vehicles produced by KAMAZ and its partners, and to learn how to purchase and use these vehicles. The guests visited an exhibition of newly developed KAMAZ trucks and NEFAZ buses running on compressed natural gas.

According to the representatives of Gazprom, their company is currently renewing its fleet. Only KAMAZ can offer the widest range of trucks, special vehicles and buses on the Russian automobile market. KAMAZ has more than 200 models and modifications of vehicles, 70 of which are designed for operation in the oil and gas industry. This explains the Gazprom specialists’ interest in the production of the largest automobile plant in Russia.

Purchasing of new KAMAZ vehicles and NEFAZ buses running on the most environmentally friendly fuel – methane – opens KAMAZ and Gazprom new prospects for their further fruitful cooperation. These issues were discussed by the participants during a meeting held after the show.
