OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2011. OTKRITIE, one of Russia’s largest financial groups, has been ranked 8th in the Thomson Extel results released this week, an improvement of nine places since 2010.

The Thomson Extel survey, which focuses on excellence in investment banking and asset management across Europe, recognises the achievement by the buyside, sellside and corporate communities as voted by institutional investors across Europe.

This latest success is evidence of the significant results being delivered following investment in research resources and client coverage over the last 12 months. The endorsement is a clear recognition of the value being delivered to clients as measured by an independent survey.

Alexander Burgansky covering Oil and Gas, Tom Mundy on Equity Strategy and the Trading and Execution team were particular highlights of the results.
Roman Lokhov, CEO of OTKRITIE Securities Limited and Head of OTKRITIE’s Global Markets and Investment Banking business, commented:

"For OTKRITIE these rankings give us a great indication of where we stand within the market and most significantly with our clients. The positive feedback we have received this week shows us that our investment into the research sector of our business has been valuable one. We want to continue to push forward and continue to grow and progress within the market space. We are looking forward to seeing the results for the remainder of the year and hope to maintain our success."
