OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2011. The Belarusian government on June 11 imposed limitations on exports by individuals by its resolution #755.

Exports of some products in excess of the quota will be subject to payment of a special duty amounting to twice the price of the product. The document also bans sales to individuals from warehouses, depots and subsidiary premises of organizations.

The government has also limited sales of fuel at filling stations to 200 liters per truck.

The document also adopted the list of products subject to additional payments if exported by individuals in excess of the quota. An individual is allowed to export 2 kilograms of meat, sugar, flour, cheese, one kilogram of butter, two packs of cigarettes and not more than five cans with meat of dairy products without paying additional duties. The document also sets a temporary ban on export of refrigerators, freezers, gas ovens and cements, synthetic detergents, cereals and pasta by individuals.
