OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2011. A new furnace by the Austrian company AICHELIN was put into operation at KAMAZ-Diesel. This will be KAMAZ’s another best trump card in the struggle for high quality of spare parts.

The solemn ceremony of launching of the furnace produced by AICHELIN was attended by Director General of Russian Technologies State Corporation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC KAMAZ Sergey Chemezov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov, General Director of OJSC KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin, the mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Vasil Shayhraziev.

The project "AICHELIN Furnace” was started at KAMAZ on February 19, 2011 and was designed to improve the quality of heat treatment of truck details. This high-performance equipment features a number of the latest world-class developments in heat treatment and furnace production. High degree of automation eliminates failures in the production process and enables to make products that meet all the requirements of design documentation. By performance, the AICHELIN furnace can replace three units currently operating at the plant, and it consumes by 40% less energy than these units, the quality of heat treatment complies with international standards.

Putting into operation the new high-tech equipment, KAMAZ is taking another decisive step towards improving the quality of manufactured parts.

The Austrian company AICHELIN is one of Europe`s oldest manufacturers of equipment for heat treatment whose production activities began as far back as 1868.
