OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2011. Belarus’ affiliates of Heineken group of companies – Heineken Breweries, in the Mogilev Region, and Rechitsapivo, in the Gomel Region – registered a 45.5% increase in output in January-May 2011 from previous January-May to 4.397 million decaliters, Belarus’ food concern Belgospischeprom said in a statement.

In May, beer production reached 1.157 million decaliters, up 43.8%.

Heineken Breweries’ output rose 57.3% on the year to 4.2 million decaliters, while Rechitsapivo’s output decreased 43.7% to 197,500 decaliters.

Heineken Breweries made 3.28 million decaliters of beer in plastic bottles in January-May, up 58%, and 816,600 decaliters in glass bottles, up 40.3%. Beer output in kegs reached 103,700 decaliters, up 8.6 times.

Rechitsapivo produced 196,900 decaliters of beer in plastic bottles, down 33.4%.

The two breweries delivered 4.417 million decaliters of beer to the retail network in January-May 2011, up 64.7% on the year.

Exports by Belarus’ affiliates of Heineken group of companies hiked 47.6% on the year in January-May 2011 to 173,200 decaliters, 163,300 decaliters by Heineken Breweries, up 72.3%, and 9,900 decaliters by Rechitsapivo, down 56.3%.
