OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2011. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed that he would sell a stake in Belaruskali based on a USD 30 billion value of the company. Lukashenko was talking to national and regional media on Friday.

“I named the value - USD 30 billion. If you have the money, we’ll talk,” he said. “I don’t mind this deal,” he said.

Lukashenko said there were a few conditions that the potential investor should meet. “We are ready to privatize this company. The terms are all stated – the company must be developed, it must not be closed, its staff must be paid more every year and enjoy social support. The main thing is for the investor to modernize the company,” Lukashenko said.
