DTEK Appointed Legal Support Director
OREANDA-NEWS. July 04, 2011. Dmitry Sakharuk has been appointed the Legal Support Director at DTEK.
Mr Sakharuk joined the Company in March 2010 as Deputy Director of Legal Support Division. Since July 2010, he held the office of Acting Legal Support Director of DTEK. Before joining DTEK Dmitry Sakharuk had worked for Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P.
Mr Sakharuk has initiated the introduction of a uniform approach to the provision of legal services at DTEK’s corporate centre and operating enterprises; led efforts to improve the efficiency of corporate governance legal support and guided the implementation of a number of important strategic projects.
‘The main latest trend is the evolution of the legal support function from a legal advisor to a partner of a business, who can get a clear understanding of a situation, adequately assess risks, elaborate a solution for a problem jointly with a company, take responsibility therefor and be consistent while implementing the agreed solution. In its work, DTEK legal team is seeking to provide legal services which comply with the best world standards’, says Dmitry Sakharuk, the Company’s Legal Support Director.
