OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2011. A technical workshop on Russian nuclear power technologies was held in Budapest, Hungary.

The event was organized by Rosatom. The workshop participants included specialistsfrom Atomstroyexport, OKB Gidropress, SPb AEP, NRC Kurchatov Institute and Nukem Technologies (an Atomstroyexport’s affiliate).

The main topic of the workshop had been a presentation of VVER-1200 technology that is a Russia-designed water-water power reactor of 1,200 MWe designed. Russia offers this technology as the basis for new power units of Paks nuclear power plant in Hungary.
