OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2011. Azerbaijani government has defined priorities to provide sustainable economic growth of the country.

At the III  Congress of World Azerbaijanis Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev has reported that priority directions have been defined to provide sustainable and lasting development in compliance with President Ilham Aliyev’s policy.

"The following points have been set as  Priority directions of activity: provision of macroeconomic stability, deepening of economy diversification, acceleration of  industry development, creation of industrial towns, expansion of intensive methods’ introduction in agricultural sector, effective use of transit potential, completion of Baku- Tbilisi- Kars railway, international sea port and ship-building plant’s  construction",- the Minister said.

In his words the country’s priorities are also:  expansion of opportunities of ICT use and development of innovation activity , launching of first national satellite ,k development of investment climate, acceleration of integration system in world economy and creation of trading houses abroad, environmental protection, expansion of alternative energy sources’ use, tourism development, provision of high social welfare and human resources development.
