OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2011. Belarus’ internal debt increased 11.8% on the month in May 2011 to 11.236 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of June 1, 2011, an official with Belarus’ Finance Ministry told reporters Monday.

In the first five months, internal debt expanded 21.2%.

Belarus’ internal debt edged down 3.3% in January-May 2011 in real terms (adjusted for inflation).

Of the total internal state debt, the long-term debt of the government accounts for 23%, short-term debt for 0% and the debt secured by the government for 77%.
