OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2011. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers rose 1.5% on the year in January-May 2011 to 2.788 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told reporters Wednesday.

The output of potash fertilizers increased 1.9% on the year in January-May to 2.36 million tonnes, of phosphate fertilizers went down 0.2% to 88,700 tonnes, and the production of nitrogen fertilizers went down 0.6% to 339,700 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production fell 0.5% to 95,100 tonnes.

Motorcar tire output rose 10.3% to 1.57 million units.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went down 1.5% on the year in January-May 2011 to 8.564 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms.

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 41.3% of the average monthly output, or 634.9 billion rubles.
