IndianOil, India’s flagship energy corporate, continued to lead the set of Indian companies in the prestigious Fortune Global 500 listing of the world’s largest companies by sales for the year 2011 with an overall ranking of 98. Validating the faith reposed by millions of stakeholders in its performance, India’s largest petroleum company improved its overall ranking by 27 from last year’s 125th position.

With a revenue of USD  68,837 million and profits of USD  1,719 million, IndianOil this year is one of the 100 largest companies across the globe.

The global compilation of the 500 largest companies is an annual feature by the Fortune magazine. IndianOil has made it to the list every year for the past several years.
