OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2011. The Bank of Moscow has launched Visa Classic Unembossed and MasterCard Standard Unembossed debit and credit cards. Cards of this type can be used to pay quickly and safely for goods and services or to withdraw cash all over the world at millions of trade and service outlets and cash withdrawal points equipped with electronic terminals. In addition to a magnetic strip, the cards have a chip, which increases protection for the card holders against third party fraud.

At the same time, the Bank of Moscow has announced that it will no longer be issuing Visa Electron, Maestro and MasterCard Unembossed cards at branches and subsidiaries of the Bank. Visa Electron, Maestro and MasterCard Unembossed debit and credit cards issued previously will be serviced until they expire. On expiry and also if the Visa Electron, Maestro and MasterCard Unembossed cards are lost, the Bank will offer clients Visa Classic Unembossed and MasterCard Standard Unembossed cards without change of tariff or servicing conditions.
