OREANDA-NEWS. July 18, 2011. July 10-13, the official delegation of the Swiss Confederation was on a business visit to Russia. The arrival and departure of its members was carried out through Moscow Domodedovo Airport, which has a great experience in organizing social events at various levels and receiving foreign delegations.

The regular service between Domodedovo Airport and Switzerland was opened in March 2002. Today the airport serves as a link between Moscow and such cities as Geneva, Zurich and Basel. Over the entire period from the launch of operation on these routes, partner airlines have carried more than 2 million people. In the first half of 2011, the passenger traffic increased by 3.2% compared to the same period of the last year, and amounted to more than 150 000 passengers.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport in Russia, providing 44% of passenger traffic in the Moscow Aviation Hub. In 2010, the airport services were provided to 22.3 million passengers. More than 80 Russian and foreign airlines are the airport's partners. Members of such leading global airline alliances as Star Alliance, oneworld and SkyTeam have chosen Moscow Domodedovo Airport for their flights to Moscow.
