OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2011. In the first half of 2011, the Omsk Oil Refinery increased the volume of oil procesing to 9.9 million tonnes, an increase of 7.6% compared to the same period last year.The facility produced over 2 million tonnes of petrol and 3.1 million tonnes of diesel fuel, respectively 18% and 8% higher than the first half of last year.

Between January and June 2011, the Omsk Refinery saw the production of 711.6 thousand tonnes of jet fuel, a 1.2% rise compared to the first half of last year. The volume of bitumen production for the period amounted to 226.5 thousand tonnes, which represents a 32.5% increase over the same period of last year.

At the end of May 2011, the Omsk Refinery became the first in Russia to process its billionth tonne of oil.
