OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2011. Belarus’ consumer price index went up 1.7% in the first week of July, up 38.5% since the beginning of the year, an official in the National Statistics Committee told reporters.

Food prices rose 1.7% in the first week of July 2011, with non-food prices up 1.3%. Prices for consumer services went up 2% on 1-7 July.

In 2010, consumer prices grew by 9.9% while in 2009 the growth was 10.1%. The forecast for 2011 stands at 7.5%-8.5%.
