OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2011. Belarus is interested in the arrival of foreign investors willing to mine extractable resources, including potash ones. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made the statement as he met with the leadership of Boulle Mining Group on July 18, who were interested in the development of Belarusian deposits, said the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

Lukashenko reminded that extraction was in progress at only the Starobinskoye deposit, one of the three largest discovered deposits of potash salts. The other two deposits, Oktyabrskoye and Petrikovskoye, are not sufficiently developed so far. The President confirmed the interest in their development. “Boulle Mining Group is a company interested in geologic exploration in Belarus not only for the sake of finding potash salts. The company is also interested in other areas and in the development of these deposits,” Lukashenko told Jean-Raymond Boulle, the head of the group of companies.

Headquartered in Luxembourg, Boulle Mining Group is a group of private companies. The group specializes in strategic investments in private and state-run companies, which are engaged in marketing, construction, geologic survey and mining industry across the world.
