OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2011. Within the framework of the power distribution facilities construction for energy block No. 4 of the Kalinin nuclear power plant, Stroytransgaz has commissioned the reconstructed HV lines 750 kV of the Kalinin nuclear power plant - Belozyorskaya. The works have been executed in full and within the established deadlines.

Stroytransgaz specialists and subcontractors completed the construction of HV lines 750 kV overhangs to the Kalinin nuclear power plant, the works on overhaul of Belozyorskaya substation while the Kalinin nuclear power plant specialists expanded the substation capacity by installing a new nest. Thus, due to the joint efforts of all subcontractors the third stage of the power distribution facilities construction of the nuclear power station has been successfully finished, and the station technical characteristics for the distribution of the energy to consumers have been improved.

The previous day the control headquarters for synchronization of the projects – construction of energy block No. 4 and power distribution facilities construction of the Kalinin nuclear power plant – took place and was guided by the executive management of Rosatom, FSK, CO EES and Stroytransgaz.

The commissioning of the main power grids planned for October-December, 2011, will ensure the delivery of 1,000 MW capacity of a new energy block, the Kalinin nuclear power plant, to the Moscow Energy System. This will allow adding new consumers and increasing the energy system reliability in general.

Totally, over 540 km of 220-750 kV power lines will be installed for the power distribution of the new energy block of the Kalinin nuclear power plant, more than 6,758 MVA of transformer capacity will be put into operation. 750 kV Belozyorskaya substation will be expanded, 500 kV Dorokhovo substation and 750 kV Gribovo substation  are to be constructed along with 750 kV power lines of Kalinin nuclear power plant-Gribovo, 500 kV Gribovo-Dorokhovo HV lines, and the aerial cable power line of Dorokhovo-Sloboda substations.
