OREANDA-NEWS. August 2, 2011. Five CNG KAMAZ vehicles which had been demonstrated at the Ural International Exhibition "INNOPROM-2011" were purchased by municipal enterprises of Yekaterinburg.

This is not the first time when visitors of an exhibition purchase display specimens of KAMAZ after a show. This time they bought a NEFAZ-5299 city bus, a KO-505AG vacuum machine, an ED-405AG combined road car and two garbage trucks (MST-6963 and MINIPAC MK-2) – the vehicles which run on compressed natural gas – methane. An interest in them was shown by the governor of Sverdlovsk Oblast, Alexander Misharin, who took part in the exhibition.

The Governor assured that the regional government will in the near future begin to actively buy gas-powered vehicles which are offered by KAMAZ’s partner – LLC  "RariTEK" – for the needs of municipal enterprises of Sverdlovsk Oblast. According to Alexander Misharin, it will positively influence the ecological situation in the Ural cities and save budgetary means due to the low cost of natural gas.
