OREANDA-NEWS. August 8, 2011. Rostelecom OJSC and the Government of Republic of Khakassia signed  the first in the Siberian Federal District state contract to render services on the e-Government infrastructure operation and  provide intercourse of information systems and information resources of the executive Government bodies of the region by means of interagency electronic interaction systems. The contract was concluded without bidding. The document was signed by Elena Geiger, Chairman of the State Committee on informatization and new technologies of the Republic of Khakassia, and Vladimir Krupsky, Director of the Khakas branch of Rostelecom OJSC.

Under conditions of the concluded contracts Rostelecom shall provide their own telecommunication infrastructure (Internet, VPN channels and resources of data processing centers), ensure safety and protection of personal information, guarantee service backup, technical support and twenty-four-hour consulting for e-Government infrastructure users through the company’s  call-center.

‘Signing state contract and further steps to implement the project will contribute to prompt conversion of public services into electronic form for convenience of all Khakassia residents’ said Elena Geiger, Chairman of the State Committee on informatization and new technologies of the Republic of Khakassia.

Due to dynamic preliminary work performed by the Government of Khakassia and Rostelecom, the region was the first in Siberia to conclude state contract on operation services of the e-Government infrastructure’ said Vladimir Krupsky, Director of the Khakas branch of Rostelecom OJSC, -‘I’m sure our cooperation will be efficient and fruitful.’

According to the orders of the Government of the Russian Federation, Rostelecom is the only executor of design work, development and operation of the e-Government infrastructure. Unique infrastructure developed by the company, i.e. protected communication channels and data processing centers alongside with experience in carrying out large national projects enable the company to solve the problem successfully both on the federal and regional levels.

The company is looking forward to expand cooperation with the subjects and municipalities of the Russian Federation to convert public and municipal services into electronic form. Today almost each subject of the Russian Federation has started work on developing regional e-Government infrastructure in collaboration with Rostelecom.
