Fuel distribution company Ultrapar (UGPA3) celebrates its adhesion on Wednesday (August 17) to the Novo Mercado of BM&FBOVESPA, the listing segment with the most advanced corporate governance practices. The company has been listed on the Exchange since 1999, was previously part of Level 1, and is one of the 182 firms that are part of the Exchange’s differentiated corporate governance levels, of which 125 on the Novo Mercado, 19 at Level 2 and 38 at Level 1.

An event with the ringing of the opening bell will be held at the Raymundo Magliano Filho Visitors’ Center to celebrate the occasion. Taking part in the ceremony will be Ultrapar Chief Executive Officer Pedro Wongtschowski and Chief Financial Officer Andre Covre.

Ultrapar is one of the largest business groups in Brazil, with a leading position in the markets in which it operates, gained over a period of 70 years.

Ultrapar operates in fuel distribution via Ipiranga and Ultragaz, in the chemical industry via Oxiteno and in liquid bulk freight via Ultracargo.
