OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2011. Aware of the Russian and CIS markets and taking the opportunity to enjoy the visit of the Republic of Tatarstan’s President, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, to Rio de Janeiro, Marcopolo did formalize with OJSC KAMAZ, in date of August 16th, a Memorandum of Understanding in which the parties agreed to conduct a feasibility study to jointly examine the possibility of entering in a Joint Venture in Russia, aimed the commercialization of buses assembled by chassis KAMAZ and bus bodies Marcopolo, that shall meet the emissions standards "Euro-4" and larger. Despite this is a non-binding commitment, the parties already agreed that if the studies lead to effectively complete the project feasibility, the JV shall be constructed on a parity basis.

OJSC KAMAZ is the largest automobile corporation of the Russian Federation. KAMAZ Group of Companies is comprised of 96 companies, 13 of which are major subsidiaries of the company.
