OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2011. In connection with the emerging media speculation about the illegality of software (SW) used in the airport, we believe it necessary to give appropriate explanations.

In their activity, the companies of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport are using office and specialized software for production processes.

The specialized software, such as check-in system, the central database of the airport (flight timetable, etc.), airport resource management system, baggage reconciliation and handling system, etc., is licensed and sold exclusively by leading world producers - SITA, ULTRA ELECTRONICS , INFORM, etc.

In strict accordance with the requirements of the Russian legislation on intellectual property, the legitimacy of the use of the office software and database management systems is supported by licensing agreements with leading developers and suppliers: Microsoft, IBM, Adobe, Oracle, etc.

Companies of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport are subject to regular due diligence, organized by IBM, Oracle, etc., to verify the legitimacy of using software.

There have been no claims by manufacturers.

The software for navigation systems has been purchased and used by the Moscow Centre for Automated Air Traffic Control (MC AATC).

The legitimacy of its use is confirmed by certificates of state bodies regulating this activity. There have been no requests from the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the companies of the Moscow Domodedovo Airport to provide documents confirming the legality of the use of the software.
