OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2011. Belarusian foreign trade deficit amounted to USD 3.01 billion in January-June 2011, compared to USD 2.449 billion in January-June 2010, according to the website of the National Bank of Belarus.

Overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 44.523 billion in January-June 2011, up 52.4% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services rose 55% to USD 20.756 billion, and imports increased 50.1% to USD 23.766 billion.

Commodity trade deficit reached USD 4.045 billion in January-June 2011 (USD 18.251 billion of exports, 62% on the year, and USD 22.297 billion of imports, up 52.6%), and service trade surplus amounted to USD 1.035 billion (USD 2.505 billion of exports, up 18.1%, and USD 1.47 million of imports, up 20%).
