OREANDA-NEWS. August 23, 2011. By the end of September national postal operator of Azerbaijan Azerpocht will launch Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information (STEFI).

Head of Postal Sector of Communication and Information Technologies Ministry of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov has reported that the process of changes introduction to Secured Transfer of Electronic Financial Information (STEFI) has to finish by this time.

"The launch of system in real regime has delayed a little. The cause is that the system requires urgent transfer money within 3 hours and not 3 days as it used to be. That suggests almost round-the-clock work system, and it requires a number of technical changes, if to take into account the time difference between countries, and that shortening of duration of the balance making and mutual settlements to be presented not once every 2-3 months, but weekly.  By the end of next month STEFI will complete work on renewal of its technical base which will enable us to launch the system with the Ukraine as testing of the system with this country has already finished",- the Ministry source noted.
