OREANDA-NEWS. August 30, 2011. Net income of Globaltrans Group for the first half of 2011 jumped by 66 percent according to IFRS from the same period a year earlier USD 159.3 million, the Company said.

Adjusted earnings of the Group increased by 48 percent to USD 603.6 million, EBITDA for the six month period surged 52 percent to USD 258 million. Adjusted EBITDA rose 42 percent to USD 256.5 million.

Globaltrans is a private rail freight carrier operating in Russia, Estonia and Ukraine. In 2010, the Group’s traffic grew by 20% to USD 97.4 billion t/km, while net income increased by 86% to USD 225.9 million, adjusted earnings - by 32% to USD 903 million.
