OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2011.  PJSC “Ukrsotsbank” will continue its activities on the Ukrainian market under the ”UniCredit Bank” trade mark starting from September 1, 2011, while retaining PJSC “Ukrsotsbank” ‘ legal name.

Currently UniCredit is represented by two financial institutions on Ukrainian market: PJSC “Ukrsotsbank” and UniCredit Bank that operate as separate legal entities and starting from September, 1 will operate under one trade mark “UniCredit Bank”. The prospect of further unification of the two banks into one legal entity and under a single brand is a strategic goal of the Group, aimed at strengthening UniCredit brand presence on the Ukrainian market.

The results of market research, according to which the attitude of clients to the change of Ukrsotsbank brand is rather positive, became a crucial factor in deciding what brand the combined bank will operate under.

Borys Tymonkin, Chairman of the PJSC Ukrsotsbank: " UniCredit brand has a strong position in Europe and we decided to use this benefit in order to support our activities on the local market in the most effective way, thus confirming the intention of the long-term presence of UniCredit on Ukrainian market. Our clients are positive about the new name of the bank according to the studies. UniCredit for them is a sign of reliability, so I'm very optimistic about the rebranding of the bank. Moreover, under a brand more closely associated to the parent company, we will continue to provide all our clients with high quality service and individual products."

The Bank preliminary informed its clients on the upcoming rebranding by means of sms- mailing, by placing posters in the branches and info on ATM screens. The following announcement on rebranding of the Bank’s current and potential clients is planned to be realize through national TV, printed national press and internet platforms.

Changing of the trade mark of PJSC “Ukrsotsbank” to “UniCredit Bank” doesn’t entail the change of Bank’s legal name as well as all Bank’s requisites that’s why no amendments of agreements and terms are expected.
