OREANDA-NEWS. September 02, 2011. Deloitte’s 9th Annual Amateur Golf Tournament was held at Le Meridien Moscow Country Club. The event, organised by the audit and consultancy firm, was as always held in aid of the United Way of Russia, a foundation which helps the most vulnerable members of society, including children, disabled people and the elderly, reported the press-centre of Cherkizovo Group.

Cherkizovo sponsored and took part in the game for the first time with a team formed from the Group’s top-management and finished with a good result.

The winners were announced at a gala dinner following the tournament and the teams and their guests took part in a charity auction and lottery.

CEO of Cherkizovo Group, Sergei Mikhailov said: “Cherkizovo takes its social responsibility seriously and one of the most important elements of this is our charity work. We were very happy to participate in this charity tournament and we hope that this is just the start of a long-term relationship. Not only did we have the great pleasure of playing in the golf tournament itself, but more importantly, we were able to get to know the United Way of Russia better and find out more about their activities in Russia. We are sure that this is only the beginning of our cooperation with the foundation and we hope to participate in further interesting and rewarding charity projects in the future”.
