OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2011. Stroytransgaz has ranked 144th in the list of the largest international contractors (225 Top International Contractors) published by the international agency Engineering News Record. Thus, Stroytransgaz remains the only Russian company – participant of the international contractors rating.

 Following the results of the year 2010, the company ranked 158th in the 225 Top Global Contractors rating of the same agency.

 In 2010, Stroytransgaz went on with the work in the international market while improving the performance of its current contracts and expanding the сompany’s presence. The сompany’s order portfolio made 1.7 bn USD. The scope of contract works, half of which Stroytransgaz carried out abroad, exceeded 1 bn USD.

 In 2010, the сompany continued to construct civil facilities and to implement oil and gas infrastructure projects in 12 countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkmenistan, Algeria, India, Greece and Finland.

 In October 2010, Stroytransgaz and Net4gas signed the contract for the construction of GAZELLE pipeline in the Czech Republic as a part of the Nord Stream project. This is the fist project of Stroytransgaz on the Czech territory that, as the same time, has followed the сompany’s traditional cooperation with the Old World.

 At present, Stroytransgaz has been actively preparing for the entry into foreign markets. The сompany is most interested in the Middle East construction market, especially the Persian Gulf countries: Oman, Qatar, Kuwait.

 At the same time, Stroytransgaz keeps on the diversification into the electric power industry related to oil and gas sphere. In 2010 the total scope of works conducted by the сompany in this industry made over 20% of Stroytransgaz’s revenue, thus doubling the 2009 performance figures. In the first half of 2011 these figures doubled, reaching 56 percent. Within the frames of the electric grid facilities construction contracts, Stroytransgaz executed a unique project for modern Russia - a greenfield project of the Yugo-Zapadnaya сogeneration plant, one of the largest in St. Petersburg; the construction of more than 7 000 MVA transformer capacity and 600 km of extra-high voltage power lines.
