OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2011. The IV International Exhibition on the Key Trends of Development of the Power Industry in Turkmenistan closed in Ashgabat.

Large companies from over 17 world countries and heads and specialists of various sectors of the national economy took part in the representative forum organized by the Ministry of Energy and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The exposition arranged at the Exhibition Centre focused on the key options of development of the power industry in Turkmenistan. It provided a platform for the presentations and discussions between scientists, specialists and businessmen.

The conference on development of the power industry in Turkmenistan held in the conference hall of the Exhibition Centre was a splendid opportunity for foreign companies willing to implement projects on the promising Turkmen market to discuss such topics as the environmental factor, the use of alternative energy sources and energy efficiency technologies, energy resources management, advanced technologies of gas-turbine power stations, innovative solutions for power supply networks in Turkmenistan, development of the networks of power facilities, etc.

Turkmen specialists learnt about the expertise, a range of products and projects of foreign companies willing to establish business contacts on the Turkmen market. The forum illustrated that relying on best international practices and advanced technologies, Turkmenistan determined establishment of wide international cooperation based on equality and mutual benefit as a critical vector for the progress. During the conference it was underlined that by promoting the power industry, our country increases the volumes of electricity export that is in great demand on world markets.

Presenting the report at the conference, foreign partners highly evaluated the efforts taken by Turkmenistan to promote the new energy strategy aimed at fundamental modernization of the industry and the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation. For this purpose all necessary conditions have been created in the country, including particularly the open door policy pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the favourable investment climate and the rapid economic growth.

Expressing deep gratitude for the invitation to participate in the forum, foreign guests emphasized that the meetings of this kind provided an opportunity to get more information about the existing potential, strengthen business relations and broaden fruitful collaboration.

After the international exhibition and scientific conference on the Key Trends of Development of the Power Industry in Turkmenistan was closed, the ceremony of awarding diplomas and certificates to forum participants was held.

Within the framework of the programme of the international forum foreign partners visited Ahal State Power Station.
